Neural Playground (listed on the App Store as NeuralPlayground) is an educational iOS app that teaches how neural networks and machine learning actually work, using small models that really run on your device. This policy explains what information the app does — and does not — handle. It applies to the app and to this website at neural-playground-55r.pages.dev.
The app is built to be understood by anyone curious, from children reading with an adult to graduate students, so we kept its privacy story as simple as we possibly could: the app collects no personal information from anyone.
The short version
We do not collect any personal information. Neural Playground requires no account, no email address, no name, no phone number, and no sign-up of any kind. You can open the app and start learning immediately, anonymously.
As you learn, the app saves a small amount of progress data using standard iOS storage on your own device:
This information never leaves the device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it. It exists purely so the app can remember where you left off and show your progress.
If you write to support, we will have your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to answer you and for nothing else, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

The app makes no network requests of its own beyond Apple's App Store. It opens a web page only when you tap a link — this site's Privacy, Terms, or Support pages, the App Store listing, or a cited source — and those open in your browser, at your choice.
Because your progress lives only on your device, there is no central database of users to breach and nothing for us to lose, sell, or share. The data is protected by your device's own security — your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID — and by iOS app sandboxing.
If you delete Neural Playground, everything it stored locally is removed with it. There is no copy held anywhere else, and no backup of it on any server of ours.
Neural Playground is written for a general audience of curious people, including families learning together, and it is rated 4+. Protecting children's privacy is central to how it was built.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 — in fact we collect none from any user, of any age. In keeping with the spirit of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws elsewhere, the app is privacy-protective for children by default:
Because the app collects nothing, no parental consent for data collection is required — there is no collection to consent to. The only paid feature is the subscription, which Apple handles under the Apple Account holder's settings, including Ask to Buy and Screen Time restrictions, so a parent or guardian stays in control of any purchase.
Neural Playground is not submitted under Apple's Kids Category; it is a general-audience educational app that is well suited to children. If you are a parent or guardian with a question about your child's privacy, please write to us.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You stay in control:
Wherever you live, you can exercise the practical equivalent of any right of access or erasure yourself, simply because all of your data is on your own device.
We may update this policy, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The current version always lives on this page with its date, and material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
